They're both small studies. Neither mention anything whatsoever about standardised diets. The larger study is funded by a grant from "Lysulin Inc USA" which I suspect is something to do with the ownership and production of LysulinTM. The other was smaller, lasted only 3 months, was testing urine glucose (which I didn't think anyone did anymore) and everyone in the test was already taking glibenclamide and metformin, so there are likely to be a number of confounding factors.
Unfortunately if something seems too good to be true, it almost always is.
