Lyxumia and Driving HGV's

Hello fellow type 2's. I'm a HGV driver, I was diagnosed type 2 about 9 months ago, my doctor started me off on metformin and from 1, I have slowly increased up to 3 a day. but it's still not keeping my blood sugar at an acceptable level. ok I admit I have a sweet tooth and when tired and busy I dont always make good food choices.My doctor has just started me on Lyxumia which I inject every morning while still taking the metformin. Does anyone know whether or not I have to inform dvla? My nurse doesn't seem to think so but my transport manager seems to think that I do!
 
Hello jules1640, as it is an insulin ,you need to test prior to driving and at regular intervals through the day to make sure your bs are at a safe level
Your doc will notify the dvla

If there was anyway you could control without insulin you would not need to notify dvla
