Macula edema

@Treebo, I'm not wishing to derail the thread so just a very quick note on that 3.4 reading on your cgm ( I see you are on meds). cgm device accuracy can be iffy once they drop down to those low numbers. Likely your blood sugars were higher. When my blood sugars drop below 3.5 I just do a quick finger prick to make sure. I have a history of hypos.
That's a good point Melgar.. I thought at first the CGM would do away with the dreaded finger prick tests... but have heard recently that you still need them occasionally so I will do that. I do feel dreadful if I go below 4 tho.. and it can wipe me out for hours... still trying to work out why the big swings during the night. One day its too low, the next its heading for 9 in the middle of the night. But seeing the diabetic's nurse next week. Thanks for taking time to reply.

For anyone who needs the eye injections...
My second of three is due at the end of this week. The first really did improve a rapidly declining situation... and things are more normal now so I'm hoping that this will continue. The injection was much much easier than having an injection at the dentist.. and I could feel a reduction in pressure within about two days. I would recommend to anyone to go ring an eye unit or their optician who can refer you, if you are worried. Its better to be safe than sorry.
