The NIHR North West Diabetes Local Research Network and the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Medicines for Children Research Network are holding a Diabetes Research Open Day so people affected by diabetes can find out what research is taking place in Manchester into new treatments for the disease.
The event is taking place on Wednesday 25th February 2009 1.30 - 4.30pm at The Members’ Suite, Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Talbot Road, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0PX
The Open Day will include talks from leading clinicians about the latest research into Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as hearing from people with diabetes who have taken part in research. There will also be workshops on research into: Diabetes and Diet; the Complications of Diabetes; and Issues Affecting Children with Diabetes; as well as an exhibition and a buffet.
