Has anyone had a body scrub/massage treatment with a pump in? Or did you take it out and switch back to injections for the day?

I've had lots of massages with a pump in. Mainly sports massages rather than full treatments. But it's not been an issue. Just site your pump somewhere that won't get got by the treatment, warn the therapist it's there, keep an eye on blood sugar after if you've had lots of massage around the pump that might knock up insulin affect due to increased blood flow to the skin.

Yes, I've had massages with a pump, and one with a Libre sensor on as well.

I made sure I had the cannula in my tummy on purpose at the time, so it wouldn't be in the way of any back pummelling. I had the pump free range (ie not in its belt on my body) so that I could move it as required, and it was fine.

I covered my Libre sensor with two large waterproof plasters. My arms both got jolly well massaged and the sensor didn't suffer in the slightest.

I'll admit though that last time I was massaged I was at a chain that had to be shown a doctor's letter 'if you say yes to anything in that column of the medical form', and as I had no such letter on me, I did not tell them about my diabetes and kept my pump etc hidden. This was my own choice, and please understand that I am not recommending this course of action to others. Next time I go I shall ring first to check that there is no policy in place asking people to remove medical devices.

:)

Yes I've had massages a couple of times with the pump. As @Snapsy said - I moved the cannula to my tummy and took the pump out of its belt. I have also disconnected it when I had a 30min back massage. Sugars were fine. Enjoy the massage!
