Self absorbed and rude people! Motorists who are oblivious to the rest of the world, and really don't give a ****!
Getting away from the humdrum of diabetes for a bit, I am wondering if anyone else was as enthralled with Masterchef on BBC1 (final yesterday) as I was . I must say, that I am not usually into TV competitive programmes such as 'Strictly Come Dancing', 'X factor' etc, but this caught my attention some time ago, I did not watch the last series but found the present series phenomenal, I have sat in absolute awe through most of the current series, at what these 'unprofessional' cooks have achieved and admire them all the challenges they have faced and battled through. The final three, Tim, Tom and Sarah, were mindblowing - the food looked like something to die for, and sadly, most diabetics cannot eat much of it - but that does not worry me - I just love to see what these so called 'ordinary' people managed to achieve. I predicted a few weeks ago that either Sarah or Tim would win, last night I opted for Tim - the food he produces, much of it Japanese inspired is unbelievable - so sad for the losers, and I was so engrossed when the announcement of the winner was made that I was actually on edge for them! I really do feel that they were all exceptional, but Tim was ultra exceptional I felt so happy for him.

Agree 100% , I have watched many series of MC in the past but this one was brilliant Heaven knows how they picked a winner as all three would have been worthy of the trophy , I`ll miss it on tv now

Have placed a link to the programme in your post Hpp....

I too have watched the whole series and seen all the highs and lows, the disasters and the euphoria over the weeks. As stated how you can pick between any of the 3 finalists I have no idea, they were all excellent.

I think Tim deserved to win though because he has been consistently pushing the boundaries and really seems to have that extra 'something'........

Good luck to them all.....

Thanks Cugilla, I simply have to share my pleasure at this programme and outcome, it has genuinely made me feel good about the world, made me happy So much nicer than the usual crime and murder, or depressing 'war' news.

I loved it, too. The techniques are becoming more widely accessible these days (thank you interweb!), and people are willing to spend a little money on quality ingredients to cook at home.

Loved the suckling pig!!!
