hi everyone wanted to ask do you guys bolus the same amount for carbs if theres protein in meal or less example sandwich with tuna. example you would give 10units of insulin 10 units for normal non protein sandwich would you give same amount for a sandwhich with protein or less?.

Protein only turns into glucose through glyconeogenesis in the absence of carbs so if it's a sandwich I wouldn't as there are carbs in the bread.

I think (and this is just me) that you only need to bolus for protein if there’s no/few carbs. The liver will make glucose out of protein if there’s no other source of it. So I’d just bolus for the carbs in a sarnie.
