Is it advisable for type 2 on Insulin to wear an alert?
Isn’t wearing ‘ insulin dependant’ mis leading for Type 2 compared to Type 1

I agree. If you are on insulin then wearing an 'Insulin Dependant' bracelet/band makes sense. If you are a T2 with excess weight it is unlikely you will go hypo as you would then have a lot of insulin in the blood anyway.

Not correct.. my GF is t2 on insulin carrying extra pounds and constantly has hypos

So if you are on insulin it is possible to have issues so you carry something to day you are on insulin as that way if you are hypos one day needing help you may get the treatment you need sooner

T1 or t2 its optional though and the way you choose is down to preference too.. I went the tattoo route.. but wound advise that as t2 as you may come off insulin

You can wear an alert saying specifically ‘T2 on insulin’ and listing any other useful info.
Mine says ‘bee sting allergy and Reactive Hypoglycaemia’.

I think it is useful to give as much info as possible.
