Hi there, i'm not sure if this is the right forum to post on here but I have a few questions that i'm hoping someone might be able to help with.

I am 38, T1 diabetic diagnosed when pregnant 6 years ago. I also have endometriosis and at a consultant appointment on Sunday they have advised me there is no other treatment i can have and have recommended that I be put on a temporary menopause to manage my pain. I will have an injection every 4 weeks for 3 months and also HRT to protect my bones and symptoms. If this doesn't help after 6 months, they will operate and give me a full hysterectomy.

I have just been to my diabetic drop in clinic this morning for advice and they weren't very helpful, they have said that "everyone is different" and I just need to wait and see what will happen. The only real advice they gave me was to be more careful of my blood sugars as the hot flushes/night sweats can cause my bloods to be erratic ( which I already knew).

I just wondered if anyone here has been through something similar and could give me any advice to make things go as smoothly as possible?

Hello,
I know this post was added a while ago but I’m in the same boat at the moment and currently waiting for a total hysterectomy. How did you get on ?
