Medication advice, update

Hi, just because I promised to give an update on visiting doc here goes

Oh in case you hadn't read original post and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't, I got some blood and urine results suggesting I may have CKD after being reassured I wasn't too worried in the end but made an appointment to see doctor to discuss well

Turned up at 8:30 as planned to be told doc wasn't there and they had changed my appt to 9:10 and a different doc, ok so I wait till 9:30 lol get called in to see different doc and she doesn't mention the CKD so I have a list of questions all planned out, I was completely dismissed as my results were "fine" we'll I tell her I had researched nice guidelines etc and the results show me to be borderline stage 2 stage 3 CKD and I'd like to take some action to prevent things progressing, we I thought she was going to get a stick out and lash me, no no no we don't worry about these numbers you are fine, but we need to increase your statins, huh? I say my cholesterol has gone from 6.3 to 4.3 in 6 months and I wasn't taking them up until last week, ok she says we will keep them as they are, ok so I tell her I go dizzy every time I stand up my bp is a little low 106/63 on avg and when I take it as I stand it goes 85/58 (last night) so she takes my bp and its 138/80 and says no it's fine, so I say it's higher here as I was worried about seeing you today no no no it's fine she says lol, at this point I give up, put my list of questions away and leave with a Thankyou lol I can't wait till next time, she didn't even mention my hba1c which I worked hard on, I know it's my life so I'm bound to care more than them but sheesh so I officially give up on the doctors and will just live as healthily as possible and go for the blood tests eye tests etc, anyway that's my update thanks if you didn't fall asleep or lose the will to live and switch threads by now

Eventually dialysis and kidney transplant at stage 5 but after research I think I'm doing the right things, but I would have liked to ask about the fact that low carving means quite high protein and the fact that I've started doing long runs etc as opposed to doing zero exercise my whole life and could these factors had skewed the tests as I've kinda read stuff suggesting its possible, the key it seems is keep hba1c very well controlled keep bp in perfect range and keep cholesterol perfect (hence my restarting statins) I'm kinda trying to do all this so I suppose I was looking for her to say keep doing what your doing we will keep an eye on things, low carbings fine and runnings fine ( lol aiming too high?)



Edit, if I had terrible bp cholesterol and terrible bg and 4 stone heavier would you not have expected her to ask me how I did it so she could perhaps help others with her knowledge? (Too much again huh)

lol netty, I rang and made an appointment for the dn hoping she knows a little about it, do you think this is a waste of time?.......a simple test? what is it please? so I can suggest it
