When the results are in, ask for a print out so you can see it all in black and white - which tests you had and what the levels were. You really need to know this. Diabetes is a serious disease and needs proper medical care. You also need to find out if you still need statins and blood pressure tablets.After that, we can help you understand the results and perhaps guide you to find a suitable way of eating. You were told correctly about fruit - it is full of sugar and not a wise choice for diabetics on the whole. Some fruits are better than others. Berries are OK, tropical fruits and bananas are not.</blockquote>
