political correctness,cold calls,town hall staff.
How long before insulin? I take pancreatin because my pancreas does not break down fats.When I was informed I had diabetes I was told it would be sooner than later before I would be on insulin,this was in hospital.I now take 2 850 mg metformin daily 2 80mg gliclazide and 3 60mg nateglinade and sick of it.I take about 12 pancreatin daily and on top of all this penicillin because I have no spleen, and other bits and bobs.My nurse at the doctors cannot give me the answer :( :(
 
I can't tell you how long before you go on insulin, but in my case I took

2000mg metformin
120mg Gliclizide
some other thing I forgot what is was called
1 omeprizole (to stop all the other pill making me sick)
1 Liptor ( for Cholesterol )

I took all these for about 12 months and I would still be on them if I had not demanded a referral to the hospital, My BM was allways high even with the pills, so not sure if this is anything like yours.

I also demanded a test to see if I was type 1 not type 2 and the result came back a few weeks ago as type 1.
