Medication

Hi @Tricia1965 Welcome to the forum

I can move your thread into the Diabetes medication section for more visibility, let me know if you would like it moved ?

Hi Tricia1965,

I was prescribed Farxiga and whilst it worked for my blood glucose levels it increased my frequency of urinating to just about hourly. It got to the stage that I couldn’t travel more than hour without having to find a toilet. My sleep pattern was also disrupted with me getting up six times a night.

After discussing this with my endocrinologist we decided that the side effect (for me) was not worth me continuing and I was switched to Byetta injections which immediately brought my bathroom visits back to a more normal level. As of last Saturday I have now stopped the twice daily Byetta injections and have commenced a once weekly Trulicity injection.

I know of others who have had great success with Farxiga but unfortunately it was not for me.

Regards

Cameron
