Hi, I've a type 2 diabetic and have just been prescribed Januvia, but my GP has not changed my previous medication, so I'm also taking Metformin, Gliclazide (slow release), Rosiglitazone and Acarbose - is this too much, and can I cut something out? Andynew
 
Obviously you need to discuss this with your GP or Pharmacy, but you've got some doubling up there. If you really want to reduce overall meds, try going low carb and using only the MET. But make sure you measure BG regularly to keep in the safe zone.
