I don’t really have a typical day. I’m a primal/ancestral fanboy so I try to mix it up and vary activity and eating times. I eat only real food, when I’m hungry, regardless of the time. No carbohydrate that didn’t grow out of the ground. No grains or sugar. No seed oils. Nothing processed, or even made by someone who I don’t know. Intermittent fasting every day - maximum TMAD - and no snacking. No calorie counting or macro calculations - I trust my appetite. I walk at least 5km most days, and lift weights each and every day that I’m able. Some may call it hardcore but I call it empowering. Reaching this stage, from where I was, has been incredibly challenging and involved a lot of soul searching. But now I’m here, it’s laughably simple and I feel fantastic all the time. Can’t remember the last time I was sick or had a cold. I feel like an apex predator. The power of primal ketosis leaves me in no doubt that this is the way we are biologically programmed to live, and my blood work speaks for itself. Sorry if I seem evangelical or prescriptive but it’s really only just enthusiasm for my own strategy. I don’t presume for a moment that it would, or should, suit anyone else. Might order a lipid panel and a new HbA1c in the coming weeks, just because I can. I’d like to go sub-30 on the HbA1c :D
