Hi all i was diagnosed with type 2 2years ago whilst i n hospital for a heart condition was initially put on 5mgof linagliptin when out of hospital and seen by gp he put me on 1000mg of metformin on my next blood test figures where still high so i was put on 2000mg metformin figures still not low enough (58)so i was prescribed 5mg of dapagliflozin aswell my figures have now gone to far the other way (42) so i have been taken of linagliptin but just recently i have beeen experiencing lower back pain anyone else had problems?

I can’t advise on your back ache or meds but can I just ask why you think a result of 42 is too far the other way. If that’s an HbA1c you’re quoting then 42 is the lower end of pre diabetic. Aren’t we all aiming for non diabetic levels?

My advice is to go to GP. Kidneys need thinking about.
Dapagliflozin increases urine output, so is back pain kidney related?
Good luck. Do let us know how you get on...
