Im so happy right now,Ive only been diagnosed with type 2 for just over a year. This forum gave me such wonderful knowledge when I really needed it.I still have loads to learn about Diabetes though. :?
Anyway,I started the Cambridge diet 2 week ago,and have lost a whole stone!!!! But in the mean time,my blood sugars are being sooooo good lol.I was averaging between 7 and 10 before I started the diet, and since Ive been on it,I havent gone over 6.So this morning I was 4.6 before even taking my medication which led me to call my doctor to maybe see if whilst Im on the diet I should maybe reduce my 2000mg of Metformin to 1000mg,he agreed with me.I know its not a huge thing, but to me its massive,as its a start in the right direction.Just wanted to share as Im a bit happy lol.
Well done Tracey. Great work with the weight loss.
Your fasting levels all sound good. Do you test after meals at all ? What are the readings 2 hrs after meals ?
If you are reducing your meds it is very important that you know what they are as fasting levels are not all you need to consider. They are just a part of the equation.
