When you reconnect, make sure there is a click which tells you you've connected properly.Thanks. I did and it did although I think that had more to do with either not connecting it correctly after my shower or disconnecting it in my sleepTrial and error and many thanks for the advice.
That advice is fine in normal circumstances but if you are swimming in basal then you will probably need a lot more glucose. My DSN said that 10 -15g of quick acting carbs for a hypo is sufficient, depending on what you're doing. If sitting watching tv, the quick acting is enough, but if dancing, gardening etc, after the hypo, then a small snack (like a couple of oatcakes) is advisable (or you can use a reduced basal for a couple of hours).

I've never used any slow acting carbs after a hypo though as told not to.
I would have eaten before the activityEveryone is different. If I knew I was going to do jives, quicksteps and cha cha chas and hadn't set a reduced basal beforehand, I certainly would eat a starchy snack, after treating the hypo.
I'm talking about activity AFTER a hypo!I would have eaten before the activity
