First day, first pump and it was going ok until I had a load of hypos around 5-7pm. What I was told by the rep was you put your bg in it would adjust the basal rate. It doesn't. I called the helpline and they said you needed to set a temp basal rate or suspend it. Since my maths isn't great when my levels are 2.7
does anyone have any advice? I have redone the basal for 24 hours and lowered it a lot for night to try and avoid any really bad hypos tonight and will see how it goes.
I was also told by the dsn that you just treat hypos with fast acting carbs (15g) and no slow acting ones after "because the pump will adjust". Is this as wrong as I thought it was? Rather nervous for the night.
I don't have a cgm with it or the smartguard people are talking about on the medtronics thread.
