Hia - this is the first day since having the pump fitted that I had a non-delivery alarm mid way through a lunch bolus. I changed the set in work immediately and all seems ok now. As it was my first such alarm so I phoned my DSN just to ask her if alarms such as this are common on day 2/3 of the set (I thought they happened soon after set insertion?) . Anyway she asked if I'd done anything different or lifted anything? Well - Yesterday when I got home I carried a big heavy parcel and she suggested that even this could have upset/bent the cannula - does this sound feasible to others? I have to say this co-incincides with a gradual increase in my blood sugars last night into the morning and also I thought when I took the cannula out that there was a slight kink in it - not sure though as I may have just wanted to see it. I know I'm lucky that this is the first time it's happened after almost 4 months but I always like to try and find out the reason why things happen - maybe its just one of those things and I just need to forget about it.

I've had the Paradigm pump for 2 1/2 months now, I use silhouette sets, manually inserted & have had no problems so far. I used to use Tenderlink sets with my old pump (identical except in the pump end connector) & I've never had a set failure in getting on 3 years now, except when the DSN gave me a few quickests to try, I hated them & the second one failed, Won't use them again.

When I first went onto the Veo I was using quicksets and right from the word go I got 5 No Deliveries in the first 2 set changes... Moved quickly onto the silhouettes and in about 6 months Ive only had 1 no delivery 1 full day after I inserted... the reasoning does sound feasable, Im no expert but quite logical and if your using your tummy and youve bent to pick up the box you may have kinked it... however that may just be my logic
