Medtronic pump

I've been on a Medtronic pump around 5 months and I love it, mind you I didn't get a choice which pump to go on as my hospital only use Medtronic and I'm a pump newbie. It has a (basic) remote but I don't tend to use it, I'm quite happy just making adjustments on the actual pump itself. Basal rates can be adjusted per 30 minute intervals, I understand some pumps allow you to change in even smaller increments, but it works well for me. I also like the size of it, it's quite small.

Have a look at them all.... Omnipod, and Accuchek Insight are other ones to look at.

I love my Insight.

I've used a Medtronic Veo for the last 4 years, I used Roche pumps for the previous 10 years but moved to a new area and my new clinic only used Medtronic. I use the smaller size pump as I use about 19 units daily and it's been great, does everything I need, it's reliable and the Medtronic help line and staff are really helpful. I needed a replacement battery cap for my pump, ordered yesterday and it was delivered first thing this morning. I think the majority of us just love our pumps whatever the make although I know some people have had specific issues with certain pumps.

I don't use the remote but it's there if I want it. I've got no issues with Medtronic and am exceedingly grateful for the great control it's allowed me to get. I hope you find the same whichever make/model you go for.
