I met these guys at a JDRF meeting yesterday evening. Their product sounds very interesting, and I gave it a write up in my blog at http://www.bit.ly/d_medtrum

Their website can be found at http://www.medtrum.com.

Go take a look and see what you think... My issue is the lack of information about CE marks and EMA or FDA approvals.

Wow, @tim2000s - thank you so much for your comprehensive review - it sounds as if this has huge potential, although as you says the fact that the CE marks and approvals aren't yet there (and their information about it is either non existent or very hidden!) makes me suspect that this might be a slower burn coming to market than the August - or October - they are talking about.

Looking forward to any updates! Thanks again for the information. I've read your blog post but have not yet gone on to their website - that's a job for when I'm wearing my Thinking Hat...

:)

Looks awesome, Ive just shared to nightscout - hope you dont mind :) also found a facebook page.

So they've just responded to my question about CE marks and stated that they have all their products CE marked.

The post has been updated with an overview of their equivalent of SmartGuard known as Predictive Low Glucose Suspend. Catchy!

We found the manual for the integrated system on the FCC submission. It also includes details of their CE mark.

Very interesting @tim2000s, thanks for the info.

Did they talk any dates/ current status of products or is it very much just early days of expansion. I do get a little weary when I see average renderings of products.

If you read through @ElkBond, I had an email from the sales director this morning saying on sale in September.

They had all the real bits and pieces at the display at the event we went to so we were able to see it all. Everything is real.

My apologies @tim2000s, best not to skim over the intro like a div. I delved straight into the guts of your article haha.

I will be interested to see if they hit September, I'm rooting for them!

I wonder what the knock on effect for the two monopolies will be like (patch pump - Omnipod, CGM - Dexcom), libre managed to force Dexcom to take a hefty chunk out of their prices (well transmitter mainly). While I do love my Dexcom, I would change to another manufacturer in a flash depending on the price point and features.

Cheers Tim :)

Looking forward to seeing this.

Hopefully the pricing will be competitive. It would be nice if everyone could have CGM & also a pump if they fancied it.
