Recent T2 diagnosed and I've acquired an Accu-Chek Mobile. One reading this evening told me I was over 14 and being concerned I did it again and got 3.5 and a warning flashing at me. Hmmm. Third one was ok in the 6.3 range...All done in quick succession for the absence of doubt..

Think the unit is a Friday afternoon special tinged with lemons : once I return it back to Boots, any suggestions on what to get based on your experiences?

Accu-Chek Mobile, sorry but I've used a few & crossed checked against lab results & it's the most accurate.
The cassette is a great design plus the lancer mounted on the side with the drum is a great feature.

Is the cassette in properly ?
Have you left blood from a previous test on the black tabs which sit higher than the tape ?
Check batteries.
 
Always preferred Accu Chek for quality and accuracy. The Mobile is great and I wouldn’t use anything else.

Meters can be +/- 20% accurate so doing quick succession tests will always yield different results.

However with a big discrepancy like that in my 16years experience it’s down to one thing, dirty hands. Always wash your hands particularly if you are in doubt of the result.
