Tried to test this morning and kept getting E1 error on my Accu Check Aviva meter - Looked at the instructions and it says one reason could be your blood sugar could be too low . Which i reckon just isnt right at all im always between 5.2 and 7.3 in morning.

Can you get your money back on them? I got mine from tescos bet i dont have the receipt though

Hi,

have you tested your meter with control solution? (you can order this from accu-chek free of charge)

Tesco's are usually pretty good and i think would give you credit without a receipt at least.

not tried that i only bought the meter about 5 weeks ago

on another note if i get anothe rmeter which strips are cheapest?

I'd try the manufacturer first as they will often swap a faulty meter for free.

Try some control solution, if that shows the meter isn't working properly then i would try get a replacement as rglennon suggests.

As for meters that use cheaper strips i'm not too sure as i get them free on prescription but hopefully someone can advise you on that one
