as i am new i have been reading posts on here and have got myself a meter , i know how it works but what i would like to know is how many times can i use a lancet before i should change it , every time or can i use it a few times ????
I change it about once every 20 stabs if not more lol not had an infection yet, but there's still time.
Usually change when it blunts & starts hurting more
Most of us know what we SHOULD do - change every time. However I don't do that. I use a multiclix drum of 6 lancets each week and probably test a total of 40+ times ....... No problems, no infections at all. My personal choice. Just do what youi think is right and comfortable. Its only a pinprick - not an invasive procedure.
