I am currently on a trial of Libre (which is wonderful but too expensive I'm afraid) and this has prompted me to look for a new meter. I presently use a Agamatrix Jazz wireless which works well but I am looking for more as listed below.
Must be small to carry
Must be complete with finger pricker and test strips built in.
Test strips to be available on NHS.
Must be capable of taking CHO input and calculating Bolus
Must also contain an extensive choice of foods to alleviate carb counting - the choice to be automatically read as CHO.
and if it could make the tea and take the dog for a walk that would be just dandy.

Any ideas?

The Dario looks good at the moment - does anybody have any experience of these?

I have a meter that does make the tea and take the dog for a walk - but it doesn't do all the rest of the stuff you want!:hilarious:

I'm not that fussed having an all-in-one pricker and strips meter but I like the idea of having a food library especially if you can create your own meals parameters.

I use the libre, and usual work day lunch is pretty much the same amount of carbs just different sandwich filling etc. I still have to test and then press and hold the carbs + button until I hit the usual figure, would be so much easier for it to either have some 'smart' function to say start off at the usual amount of carbs for that time of day/day or to be able to select 'working lunch' in 1 or 2 clicks.

Before the libre I used the insulux, which by comparison used a minuscule amount of blood compared to the libre! to me thats a big thing also.

Thanks for that - I will look at the Insulux right now. Regarding the rest I don't think I'm asking for anything special if only the manufacturing companies would ask us what we want the CHO choice and automatic link could be accomplished in a morning by any reasonably competent programmer/coder.
