Metformin and Acarbose

Hello,

I take Metformin 500mg and Acarbose 100mg three times per day before meals.

Can you tell me please if that will induce ketosis as if I followed a very low carb diet?

Does that Metformin and Acarbose block 100% carbs absorption?

No they do not stop carbohydrate digestion /absorption .
Acerbose reduces the rate of carbohydrate digestion and absorption but does not eliminate it, metformin largely influences the release / production of glucose by the liver together with increasing insulin sensitivity and again reducing the rate of carbohydrate digestion.
The effect of both drugs is relativly mild I think
 
I agree with Boo. There is no substitute for diet that is lower in carbohydrates.
