Type 2 Metformin ER not working as well as Metformin

Hi,
My doctor switch me to Metformin ER due to some tummy trouble (turns out it wasn't the Metformin). Anyway, I am finding that the ER is not controlling my blood sugar as well as the regular Metformin. I was wondering if anyone else has had the same experience, or am I imagining it. LOL

Metformin barely touches your levels. Your diet will do that.
 
could your anemia need another look at? Your levels can affect your blood glucose readings.

Good point! I didn’t even think of that. I think I’m running low again. I was talking iron supplements, but they were destroying my stomach.
