Metformin first dose of the day...

Just a quick question today. Ive gotten into the habit the last year of not eating anything for first half of the day most days, meaning ofc im not taking my Metformin either till then. Should i be getting that little white pill in me asap after waking for maximum benefit?

Im currently on 500mg three times a day.

Im aware of all the other reasons i shouldn't be skipping breakfast :) should i be adding this to the list?

cant wait to have my brecky as soon as i get up so i tatke my tabs asap unsure what the benefits are of not eating for half an hour..maybe some will know though
