I’ve recently been prescribed Bolamyn SR 500mg prolonged release tablets but when I researched about it, it only come up about type 2 diabetes. I was wondering has any type 1 diabetics used this and how did they find it?
Thanks

It can work for T1s. I was recently on a double blind (neither I or the nurse in charge knew whether I was taking a placebo) trial for T1s for 2 1/2 years when I may or may not have been taking metformin - had no side effects and I feel it may have helped. My endocrinologist would prescribe it if I asked but I'm still trying to find out whether I was on placebos or not! The point of the trial was to see whether it improved eyes and furring up of arteries of T1s.
I noticed more problems with control after I stopped the trial....
