Metformin has worked !! HBA1C reading is 49 mmol

Re Metformin - after being on it for some 3 months now it has just kicked in !! with a reading on my Hba1c blood test of 49 mmol .
I am chuffed , as I had imagined injecting insulin , if it didn`t work !! plus a weight loss of 11 pounds .
