Those side effects aren't listed in the leaflet, but the leaflet does have a whole chapter on the dangers of lactic acidosis, which is conveniently seperate and not something you'll read when you're specifically looking at the side effect section. One of the symptoms includes extreme fatigue. No idea whether that is what happened, but you might want to talk to your doctor and/or pharmacy about this. The leaflet said: Stop taking Metformin Mylan and contact a doctor or the nearest hospital immediately if you experience some of the symptoms of lactic acidosis, as this condition may lead to coma. Symptoms of lactic acidosis include: - vomiting - stomach ache (abdominal pain) - muscle cramps - a general feeling of not being well with severe tiredness - difficulty in breathing - reduced body temperature and heartbeat If that sounds familiar, metformin might not be safe for you. There's other ways to deal with insulin resistance (other medications, or a diet change; the latter worked for me and many others here), that might agree with you more. Hang in there eh. Jo
