Sounds good that you have lost weight. Is the Metformin helping your BG levels ?
You could also ask for the "Slow Release" (SR) Metformin, I found it is a lot gentler on the stomach

Do you test your blood glucose levels? What results are you getting?

I don't test my sugar levels,my stomachs fine it's just I have past water a lot even when I have a low sugar and carbs day.

There may be something you are eating or drinking that is not as low carb as you think. If you test your blood and find out, you will be able to adjust your diet without having to resort to additional meds. Worth a try.

Hi. You need to get hold of a meter so you can see whether it's high blood sugar causing the frequent loo trips or something else. If you are still losing weight it could be that you still have some remaining insulin resistance which will fade and help blood sugar? Is you weight in the right region yet? There are other drugs that can be added such as Gliclazide but these are best suited when you have failing islet cells rather than insulin resistance. See what a meter says and whether the sugars go down over the coming weeks. Come back with more info if it remains high.

I bought a tester today and did a test two hours after I had eaten and it was 6.4,which I thought was good and going really concentrate on cutting my carbs down more hopefully this will help me.
