Metformin side effects?

Hello folks,

For you who take metformin, have you noticed any muscular side effects, or any other side effects?
I know it's hard to distinguish these when taking multiple drugs. Perhaps some have priority over others.
I have never noticed any effects at all from this drug, but recently I have muscle pains in my lower back muscles, which could be any other cause. I am at Stage 3 CKF, and I read that metformin may be bad for the kidneys, and that's why I ask. Thank you for reading.

This "safe" drug really needs accurate prescribing.
