hi ive recently been dianosed with t2
and was but on metformin normal release but it up set my already delicate tummy ive followed the advice that alot of people on here surgested
and asked the doc to switch me to the
slow release version i take 500mg in the morning and 500mg in the evening
but the doc as given me the ssme dose
in the slow release version twice a day
i thought the idea was to take one slow realease tablet a day and is it the same equiverlant dosage in slow release all so for now is it safe if i took both sr tablets at night any advice would be welcome
thanks dave

Metformin has a cumulative effect so I would stick to the dosage advice and the timing prescribed by your GP. At a later date when you see what effects the sr Met has on your system you can then ask your GP or Dn about changing the timing. Good luck.
