Metformin Stop/ping

I have been given Metformin by my surgery which is not suitable for vegetarians. I run out today, and I would appreciate any advice you may have about which is suitable for vegetarians as my surgery has told me its my prblem to sort out.
 
It may be worth contacting your pharmacist.
 
I think it depends on the brand. I used to take Glucophage (metformin 500mg) tablets, which aside from Metformin the tablets contain povidone K30, magnesium steerage and hypromellose, no mention of gelatine.
