3 Weeks on Friday I had the Diabetic Nurse stop my Metformin ( 2 x 500 tablets daily) due to having a really bad stomach everytime I ate something.
The stomach problems stopped almost immediately
however my blood sugars have not dropped below 11 and today it has peaked to 16.3. I am waking up with headaches and although I don't feel ill I do feel a little off.
Same nurse has now told me to take 2 x Clycoside (used to be 1) and carry on taking 1 x Sitagliptin per day.
Couple of days on and blood sugars levers are not dropping, does anyone have any advice that might help.
I was on slow release metformin for 5 years and have never had these high readings.
