Metformin vs Glucophage

Diagnosed Type 2 3 years ago. To reduce my insulin (Novomix 30) my clinic suggested to include Metformin which I was quite contended with. Since moving home, including GPs, he has changed me to Glucophage.Now I wake up in the morning quite unsteady on my feet. I'm due to visit a new clinic but until then, any suggestions?

Glucophage is the brand name for metformin, there shouldn't be any difference. Could be something else causing the unsteadyness.

I take glucophage, mine is the slow release version of metformin.
