My only worry is I was using metformin for polycystic ovaries and once I stopped it as I no longer wanted to ovulate independently, I was diagnosed with diabetes. Like the reverse to steroid induced diabetes, I guess.
I'm hoping I'm wrong.
I appreciate meds that have a dual purpose. I have one. The female pill does too, although I don't need that one.
I think we should be careful taking a pill instead of solving the problem causing some ailments. The liver is a very important organ and has more than dual purpose in fact more than we fully understand. Still.
 
The article is almost a year old, so it was written early in the pandemic.
It would be interesting to see if any follow up information is available. :)
