I have been a t2 for 23 years I have been on metformin for at least 20 years. I have gallstones and cannot have the op unless my HBA1C is less than 69 currently 71.

I was taking 2500 metformin x 3 times a day and 40mg glicazade. Saw my diabetes doc who took me off my metformin and put me on 2000mg slow release. Will not increase my glicazade until he sees my results which I am putting in to a spreadsheet. My readings per day are around. 10.5. I am not happy with the slow release and I feel as if I am being punished. I do not like my readings so high and am pretty depressed with it. I usually have high bs in the morning Dawn Phenomenon which my doc had never heard of. Anyone any ideas I can use to help me. Thank you.
