I have been diabetic since 1998. The Dr's have put me on a variety on medications. I started later on with Mertphormin, I wasn't able to tolerate it at all. Very bad and severe diarrhea. Then they put me on the extended release, with the same complications. Finally they put me on Glumetza, with no side effects, and I was doing great!! Well this last time I found out when I went for a refill, that it would cost me over 1,000.00 and this is with my insurance!! I bring home 1550.00 being on disability. The company was bought out, and no one can get it anymore!!! Some prices are up to $5,000.00 Does anyone know what else I can use other than insulin? I'm sure this will be costly as well. Please help!!

No I have never heard about it. I was able to get in touch with the patient assistant area of the company that distributes Glumetza, they sent me an application, hopefully I will fit in with the requirements.
