Hi all, today we had a real shock while visiting the clinic the doctor said that my daughter's microalbuminuria test was 4.4 and they are re-testing it. She's 18 and has been type 1 since she was 2. Her control is average and although they always say it should be lower, they still say it is within an acceptable level. I am now scared rigid that she will have some kidney problems as the dsn said she could be put onto ace inhibitors. She's always been such a well girl, with hardly any colds etc and those that she does have don't usually last long but since about April she has one cold after another, has lost a stone in weight as she sometimes loses her appetite and she just generally seems off colour. I mentioned this to the doctor and he said it might be causing the test to be high but i've looked it up on several websites and nothing like this has been mentioned. Can anyone give me any ideas on this, i'm feeling pretty desperate! Thank you,
