Thanks! I have a nickel allergy that's flared up quite badly on my stomach where I inject most regularly. I had assumed it would be surgical steel but figured id check for nickel content just in case

Could also be something in the insulin. 
Different ones have different 'preservatives' and some people seem to have problems.
Have you tried elsewhere?
Strangely I cannot use my pump cannulas on my stomach, I get a horrible itchy rash but have no problems anywhere else.

Yes I use my thighs and buttocks also with no issues. My allergy is only on my stomach, ears and neck though (as far as I'm aware) so it would only flare up on my stomach
I'm obviously rubbing up against some secret nickel somewhere without knowing!
