Microlet Lancets

Hi all,

Does anybody know anything about this? I've just been for my monthly prescription and the chemist had no Microlet Lancets. Apparently there is a production problem - no eta for a few weeks.

Fortunately, the chemist across the road had some. However, i couldn't really get a good explanation of the reason or whether it's going to be a long term problem.

If they are the standard ones with a disc covering the lancet, then you could get different ones such as freestyle or abbot lancets as they will still fit your finger pricker. I prefer the latter as they have a proper 'hat' to put over the lancet when you have finished with them.
 
That might be difficult - Abbot lancets are round while the Microlet have a + shape to "lock" with the Microlet2 and I found it nigh impossible to twist off the cap.

Just for info....

My pharmacy must have given me some duff info and sent me on a wild goose chase! Bayer say there is no problem with the manufacturing or distribution of this product.

Apologies for setting off a chain reaction on poor info from my chemist!
