Ate well today then checked my bed time numbers 12.3
I was so confused.
I had low carb pizza with veg and salad then low carb ice cream all homemade (keto).
So I lost the motivation and ate Chinese crackers a bag of crisps. Then I started to eat a sandwich stopped halfway through cos I started to bloat so much I couldn’t close my jeans.
Since I came out of hospital I have kept to low carb. I Just had a very small relapse.
So the questions are how do I get over the relapse? Also what can I eat as ‘snacks’ that are satisfying and low carb.

I keep a couple of jars of olives in the fridge for snacking. I also found those little individually wrapped pepperoni sausages were useful when I first started. Nuts can also work but I personally find them too moreish to use as a snack. Ooh, I forgot, some pickled eggs ( but check the vinegar isn’t sweetened ). Or a thin slice of cheese with a smear of marmite on it.

You get over a relapse by getting straight back on low carb/keto. You can also try drinking an extra 2 glasses of water.

Snacks will fade over time but initially try:
A spoonful plain full fat greek yoghurt, sipped slowly off the spoon. Then walkway from the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
A small handful nuts, plain, unsalted.
A square or 2 of at least 85% dark chocolate.
Cheese slices ,microwaved into cheese crisps

In each case snack, then walk away. Do not take food out of the kitchen. Most times you won't need to go back again.
