Does anybody suffer with migraines? Ever since i've been put on metformin i've noticed my migraines have increased.

Interesting.... I am a T2 no meds but a chronic life long migraine sufferer. Flashing lights, liking...the lot
As soon as I started a Low Carb High Fat diet just over 7 weeks ago, I have not had one migraine....this is literally for the first time in my life or certainly as long as I can remember.
I hope you find a solution that works for you as I know how debilitating they can be
Diagnosed 13/4/16: T2, no meds, HbA1c 53, FBG 12.6, Trigs 3.6, HDL .75, LDL 4.0, BP 169/95, 13st 8lbs, waist 34" (2012 - 17st 7lbs, w 42").
2/6/16: FBG AV 4.6, Trigs 1.5, HDL 2.0, LDL 3.0, BP 120/72, 11st 11lbs, waist 30" (2012 - 17st 7lbs, w 42").
Regime: 20g LCHF, run 1 mile daily, weekly fasting.
5/6/16: Two BP readings now 112/64 & 112/66
I have been very low carb for over two and half years now and have not had a migraine at all.
Flickering lights always did it for me, especially the low level strip lights in my work place. I still shy away from them.
But I believe that it is food related and since cutting carbs to a minimum and no dairy and no grains, potatoes etc. Then no migraines.
It works for me.
Metformin might have some ingredients that would trigger the migraine.
I know...how incredible is that as an unexpected corollary:
Nice to find somebody with the same experience.

I linked mine with dairy! As through my twenties(40 years ago!) I suffered some horrendous stomach and headaches contributing to some eating problems and sleep deprivation through the migraines.
I stopped dairy quite a bit but still had some lactose that are hidden in things like ready meals and if I had enough, the trigger would always be there.
I even have to check my meds to see if they contain more than 1% lactose in its ingredients
But the funny thing is, I'm not lactose intolerant.
But my tolerance to dairy is there when I eat or drink it because of what it does to my blood glucose levels!
Weird isn't it?
My identifier 25 years ago (now 54) was to stop eating chocolate entirely and the migs substantially eased.
But guess what I tested chocolate 90% and 99% 2 weeks ago and have been eating since in moderation and no migraines.
So there is no doubt it's diet...
What an amazing journey
