Really like the idea of making yogurt with double cream - as I have a yogurt maker too, which has been sitting unused in the cupboard. Also my local supermarket often reduces pots of cream. Thanks for sharing.I too use double cream in coffee. Some people who like milk to drink use watered-down double cream, which apparently tastes fine. I bought myself a yogurt maker and make yogurt with double cream instead of milk (using a spoonful of full-fat live yogurt as the starter), which my whole family finds delicious.

Hi I've been on low carb since October and I use goats milk most major supermarkets stock it although it is about £1.50 per litre. I cannot tell the difference between semi skimmed and goats milk, and I have it in tea, coffee and use it in cooking.I have still been drinking milk (full fat) and I would like to find a palatable alternative that's healthy. I'm not sure out of almond, hemp, coconut milk drink, or oat milk would be best - has anyone any views on which is the healthiest? I'd like to find something I can have in tea or coffee, or even as a hot drink on its own for bedtime.
I'm also wondering whether it would be good to cut down on having wholemilk yogurts, but I don't know what would be an affordable substitute. Coconut yogurt sounds lovely, but the last time i looked it was pricey. Any ideas would be welcome - thanks for any help.
