Type 1.5 Mini wet wipes

I’m looking for some help. I have reduced my testing kits down to the bare minimum but I have been trying to locate mini wipes. I have found two companies in google, DB wipes and Diabete-ezy the only thing is that both are not sold in the U.K. does anyone know where I can get a similar item?
I’m currently using tic tac containers as a travel sharps bin. Does anyone else have an idea of how to minimise your kit even more?

Why do you need wet wipes?
What about a damp flannel in a plastic bag?
Or just washing your hands in a sink?

The main way I have reduced the size of my testing kit is to take my meter out of its case as it adds a lot of bulk
My strips come in a strip rather than tubs so I can just put a pricker, meter and a strip of strips in my purse and wash my hands in the closest sink (and, on the very rare occasion when there is no sink, I may just suck my finger) when I take a reading.
As I don't change the lancet every time I prick, I only take one spare lancet and transfer the cap from the new one to the used one and sort out sharps when I get home.
 
Are you looking for mini wet wipes for finger pricks? I use Accucheck ones from Boots. I can’t however find them on the website now, I hope they haven’t stopped selling them
 
Hi, I’m not able to wash my hands all the time so need something to use on the area that needs testing. I can’t use my spit to clean the area before or after, that’s not hygiene. I also tried to reuse lancets but it made my palm itchy. I’ll look out for the accucheck ones. Also a damp flannel is a breeding ground for germs.

Not really an answer to your question, but my DN told me to just wipe the first drop of blood on the back of my other hand and test the next drop unless I've been handling food. Works fine for me.
 
I used to have a tin from some little extra strong sf mini mints from M&S about 1.5 inch - a little sealable plastic bag inside with squares of kitchen paper cut and dampened squeeze the air of the bag they stay damp enough for days and a clean one every time.

Nowadays I don't make too much fuss and only wash my hands if I've been handling food, I wash my hands quite a lot anyway so unless there is food residue it doesn't affect my readings- never had an infection or sore finger

Oh I liked the look of those so much I’ve ordered some. Cheaper than the Accuchek ones. Thank you!
 
We use diawipes. I pay £12 a month for 10 packs from funkypumpers.com
 
10 packs on Dia-wipes site are £10

Thank you all do much. Who knew that diabetes was so expensive. I’ll try the little M&S tin and buy the wipes, if that doesn’t work out.
 
I get Medi Swabs from the pharmacy I go to, a box of 200 is less than $10.00. Got a strip of five in my wallet if I ever need them, plus there is a nearly full box in the car.
