Hi, I'm getting the above pump on the 23rd :), can't wait.

Do you get a metre with it or do you continue using the metre you have ??

Kind regards

You get one with it which also acts as a USB which you use to upload your results from the pump to Carelink. The Carelink reports come in the form of graphs which makes it easier to pick out patterns of high/low blood sugars.

I continue to use the meter given by my clinic and only use the Medtronic one to upload.

Thank you, what metre is it, I want to have a look online so I know what I'm working with :)

And if you want a spare Contour next link 2.4 meter then you can order one from Rowlands pharmacy online for £25. Failing that you can carry on using whatever meter you currently use as a spare and enter the BG results into your pump your self.

Regards

Martin

You can get a spare contour next by applying on line to bayer. It's in their interest to do this as then you'll use their strips which is where the money comes from and as a type 1 you're getting them on prescription.

They won't give you one anymore. I tried this and they point you at the "Purchase a new one" link. Bayer have now sold this part of the business to Ascensia.
