We are at this moment have a very heavy storm, no thunder and lightening but it's absolutely throwing it down! Cats and dogs, rabbits frogs and hamsters.

we had a real bad storm last month hailstones and everything it caused a hole in my roof and cost me a fortune to get it fixed cos at the time the insurers said the storm wasn't bad enough...now they ring me and say send them the repair bill they may be able to help a little grrrrrrrrr

We wentto Hayling last night and it started pouring down as we were coming home about 10.30 pm but coming into Emsworth about 5 miles away, dry as a bone, then turned into our street and it was soaking. Strange weather. but the cat didn't seem to mind, he came in soaking wet with a dead mouse!

We had some very heavy rain for a couple of hours on Saturday lunchtime. The downpour was so fierce that we had some water leaking in at the join between the conservatory and the house and four inches of water on the patio. Thankfully we had two huge soakaways built under the lawn when the patio was constructed and the water had all gone by Sunday morning.

We had the most marvellous thunder last night or rather early morning, the second or possibly third strike was in a power line 50 metres from our house and in the same second I was about to close the last window. Jaysus how scared I was! No irreparable damage though. And a short down pour at 150 mm per hour, now that's impressive, isn't it? Hubby has a weather station that clocks these things, Oh, the wind meter went but he had spare parts so now it is in working order again.

But then I live on an island in the Baltic and we don't have as good thunder here as in many other places. We do get a lot of wind though.

And here across the river weather was fine and dry.
